The wrist band has been worn as a means of identification for centuries, worn by the ancient Egyptians and well before that as well. However the reasons why they are worn today are as similar now as they were then, identification and recognition.

The silicone wrist band is available in numerous styles and sizes. The size range is small 180mm x 12mm x 2mm, medium 202mm x 12mm x 2mm and large 210mm x 12mm x 2mm. Small is ideal for pre-school children, medium for children and adults and large for adults only.

The wrist band is made from 100 percent silicone which is heated until it forms a liquid and then poured into a mould for setting. Once set the perfectly formed wrist band is individually packed in polythene bags. As the band is manufactured using molten liquid silicone it is able to be dyed before the setting process. This allows the wrist band to be coloured to one or more colours and can even be made to glow in the dark or change colour when the temperature fluctuates.

The security type of wrist band is normally used when a highly visible means of crowd control is needed. The tyvek wrist band is ideal for single day use and is used at theme parks, children's ball parks and swimming pools. What makes this wrist band ideal is that it is waterproof, tear proof, comfortable to wear, virtually tear proof and fits all sizes of wrist. If something a little more robust is needed then the plastic and vinyl wrist bands are perfect and again comfortable to wear whilst being colourful and extremely visible.

The fabric version of the security wrist band is fast becoming the most popular security wrist band. Made from fabric 1.5cm wide by 40cm long this wrist band is fastened to the wrist using an aluminium tube which is fastened shut by a robust clasp. Available either printed or woven with your design and having the option to be sequentially numbered it is easy to see why the security fabric wrist band is now becoming the first choice for event organisers.
